The EMGCU laboratory conducts research and expert appraisal activities based on life cycles and infrastructure security and efficiency. Such activities consist mainly of structural modeling and experimental techniques in the transport field, as well as in the hydrolics field, the industry, energies and historical monuments.
History
Born on January 1st 2018 of the merging of EMMS laboratories (Expérimentation et de modélisation des matériaux et des structures et SDOA – Sécurité et durabilité des ouvrages d'art), the research team counts up to around 40 members in total.
Research topics
1. Innovative design of materials and structures
2. Works supervising and anomaly detection
3. Material and structure diagnosis and innovative repair
4. Prognosis: structural performance and risk mitigation
